Under the mildly pink and shrimpy skies, through the lush mountains that loomed tall above those under the height of four feet, and into the castles of kings, queens, and the all-powerful Lord-Jester, where many things happen — but not too many, just enough to get by the weekend — a heist is being pulled.
A tall figure rises from his silky bed sheets and into the washroom, and — oh! He takes a quick glance at me, the most ardent and fanatical of supporters. O Prince, does your golden hair shimmer fair in this rosy sunrise!
[[Next]]A window breaks in the north-eastern part of the royal castle, as a brick is thrown straight out of a window. Odd?
“Guards!”
The shuffling of twelve feet is heard throughout the entire corridor, as the royal guardsmen rush into the lavish room of Prince Clair de Lune, heir to the throne of the North-Eastern Castle.
“Sir!”
“Boss!”
“Good morning!”
At least six different voices cry out in unison into the unfortunate eardrums of their Royal Liege.
[[They sure are chipper.]]Just as the brick that was thrown, so do the six guardsmen out the window. A valiant effort to throw me off, but I possess the keenest of eyes. And not only the keenest of eyes, but the most polished and well-cared for claws! Which is well and good, because I need them to grab the Prince. Well, not the claws exactly. But don’t they look good?
But I digress, this wonderfully skillful dragon needs to finish this job quickly. And so, an unstoppable duo of prince and dragon soar into the skies and into the tower at the heart of the Woods-Next-Door.
[[Meanwhile...]]You look up into the ceiling. What time is it? You can’t read the clock, but it looks to be pointing at seven. They say your first thoughts in the morning say a lot about a person. What do you think?
[[Time to wake up and have a fulfilling, productive day! |earlyriser]]
[[Huh, I woke up earlier than usual. |backtosleep1]]
[[Just five more minutes, I swear! |backtosleep2]]
[[I do not think. |chaosriser]]How to be you.
[[You can't. |ccc...]]Well done! You’re not gonna make anything out of this, are you…? Yep, you’re already out.
[[zzz...]]You’ve never been one to break promises, and sure enough – you get up! And then crash back to your bed.
[[zzz...]]What does the sun and moon rising and setting even mean to you anymore.
[[Exactly. |ccc...]]Suddenly, the door crashes open with a bang, followed by a whirlwind! Your barely-started homework that was lying on your desk, flies straight out the window and out of your mindspace. Good! One less thing you have to worry about.
But doors are usually opened by something else — and sure enough, your brother rushes in, sweat and peanut butter on his face. Guess that explains the whirlwind. Also, your door has now fallen off the hinges.
“The prince got kidnapped!” says Morgan, your little brother.
“Wha...?” Your mind has barely adjusted to the world of the living, so you didn’t quite catch that. Lucky for you, Morgan is well versed in the art of shouting and is eager to showcase his talent once more.
“PRINCE. KIDNAPPED.”
[[Prince kidnapped… who’d he kidnap? |morganletterchaos]]
[[It’s far too too early to be auditorily assaulted. |morganletterapathy]]
[[You abruptly sit up and reply with a loud “WHAT?” |morganletterenthused]]You get up and do a few morning stretches.
Suddenly, the door crashes open with a bang, followed by a whirlwind!
“The prince has been kidnapped!” says Morgan, your little brother.
"Whabouf!" You say, tumbling down in surprise.
“PRINCE. KIDNAPPED.” Morgan repeats while helping you up.
[[Prince kidnapped… who’d he kidnap? |morganletterchaos]]
[[It’s far too too early to be auditorily assaulted. |morganletterapathy]]
[[You abruptly sit up and reply with a loud “WHAT?” |morganletterenthused]]“Yes, yes,” sighs the Prince, clutching his ears. “There’s a dragon outside my window. Do something about that.”
“Yes, sir!”
“Okay, boss!”
“No problem, your highness!”
[[I admire their dilligence.]]Morgan groans. Noticing the fallen door, he throws it out the window with all his mighty strength. It flies into over some potted plants nearby. The good greens you’d been caring for all summer, now crushed.
“Oh,” adds Morgan. “Got a letter with your name on it. From the princess, too!”
[[The princess...?]]You roll over and bring a blanket over your head. Morgan pokes you through the covers.
"I've got a letter with your name on it," continues Morgan. "From the princess, too!”
[[The princess...?]]"Yeah!” Morgan responds.
“Can’t believe someone beat me to it…”
“Oh,” he adds. “Got a letter with your name on it. From the princess, too!”
[[The princess...?]]He retrieves a folded piece of paper from his pockets and hands it over to you. Lo and behold! Your name is indeed written on the front in fancy lettering addressed to a Very Respectable…
[[Mister... (set: $gender to "m")|name]]
[[Madam... (set: $gender to "f")|name]]
[[Most Highly Esteemed... (set: $gender to "nb")|name]]
